Shorecrest splits final two baseball games

The Shorecrest baseball team split its final two games Monday and Tuesday to finish with a 2-15 Wesco 3A record (3-17 overall).

The Scots won at Everett Monday and lost a home game to Stanwood Tuesday.

In Shorecrest's 6-2 victory at Everett Monday, the Scots scored one run in the sixth inning to tie the game and four runs in the 7th to break the 2-2 tie; Hayden McNabb hit two doubles, and Shorecrest teammate Keegan Small hit one; Zane May was the winning pitcher.

In the Scots' 9-1 loss to Stanwood Tuesday, Ted Weber and Brady Dixon hit doubles for Shorecrest, and Small was the losing pitcher.

The Shorecrest junior varsity lost a 3-0 home game to Everett Monday and a 9-3 game at Stanwood Tuesday to finish with a 0-17 Wesco 3A record (1-19 overall).
