Shorewood loses to Oak Harbor February 9, 57-52

The Shorewood boys’ basketball team lost a 57-52 first-round game to Oak Harbor Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Shorewood led 13-11 after the first quarter, 28-25 at halftime and 47-37 after three quarters before Oak Harbor outscored the Thunderbirds 20-5 in the final period for the five-point victory. Semir Kadiric led the T-birds with 15 points, followed by Josh Hawkinson with 12 and Ben Andrews with 11.

Shorewood had defeated Oak Harbor (8-13) twice during the regular season. The Thunderbirds had entered the tournament as the No. 2 Wesco 3A division team, Oak Harbor as the No. 5 Wesco 3A team.
