Aurora Construction, week of May 10

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Thanks to Mayor McGlashan for this summary

This week crews will:
  • Continue joint utility trench work that will temporarily close N 182nd Street east of Aurora Monday through Friday during the day. The street will reopen at night.
  • Remove asphalt, excavate the roadway and begin pouring curb on the east side of Aurora between N 165th and N 175th Streets.
  • Install vaults and trench for the joint utility trench on Midvale Avenue, N 175th Street, N 185th Street and Aurora.
  • Continue water line and storm drain work on Aurora between N 165th and N 182nd Streets.
  • Please consider driving up to Aurora when shopping for your goods and services. I am starting to hear that the businesses on or near Aurora are feeling the pinch of the hard economic times exacerbated by the construction. Please do what you can to support our local businesses...

Please be safe in all construction zones. A single yellow line has been painted to divide northbound and southbound traffic near the intersections of N 175th and N 185th Streets. Left turns off of Aurora or onto Aurora that cross this yellow line are not permitted.
