Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening (MORE) - bicycle ride August 17, 2026

Friday, August 7, 2026

Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening (MORE) is excited to lead you through some of our favorite routes in and around Seattle and North Seattle.

August 17, 2026 from 5:50 - 8:50pm Ravenna, Northgate, Golden Gardens, Wallingford

Full details and registration here

Our rides start in the parking lot of Lower Woodland Park, across from Green Lake Way N @ 52nd Street. Be there, ready to go at 5:50pm. We'll start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

Bike route for August 17 ride

Our routes take us as far south as Leschi and the International District and as far north as Edmonds, Briar and Lake Forest Park. Even occasionally across the 520 bridge. Please click the route map link for the specific route for a given week. As always, our goal is to have fun, get some training in and be social. Did I mention have fun?

Our Moderate routes have some hills. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. Steady routes usually mirror the Moderate group's, but avoid some hills and tend to be shorter. Our routes often overlap, so it's not rare to see the other group(s) along the way.

We limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Bathrooms are available at the start.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. The route lengths are chosen to get us back to the start before dark, but in the event of mishaps, it's always wise to have a headlight or headlamp with you. Taillights are always a good idea.

If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel, and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled less than two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

Hope to ride with you soon!
