LFP Garden Club speaker schedule

The Lake Forest Park Garden Club has set its schedule for the next seven meetings. Meetings are held at Lake Forest Park Town Center at the intersection of Bothell and Ballinger Way NE, on the upper level at the stage.
- 9:30am is the general meeting, followed by a brief break for cookies, etc.
- The speaker is on from 10:30 to 11:30am.

Christina is a Seattle-based horticulture educator and an ISA Certified Arborist. Successfully planting underneath large trees here in the Pacific NW can be challenging due to their substantial root systems, heavy water demands and expanding shade.
Repeated efforts to cultivate grass and other plantings beneath these prized older trees can become frustrating and costly. Christina will share valuable lessons and cost effective techniques to improve the long term success of all plants in these landscape situations.
Oct. 13, 2026. Cleo Ralerson Perennials for Year Round Color
Cleo has gardened for more than 40 years, focusing on perennials and flowering shrubs. She has over 750 varieties of flowering plants. She will highlight tried and true, new or unusual and self-seeder perennials.. She is a King County Master Gardener and served on the board of the Bellevue Botanical Garden. She has shown her garden for many years on the NW Perennial Garden Alliance Open Garden Tour.
Nov. 10, 2026 Brenna Estrada Pansies
Brenna resides on her flower farm Three Brothers Blooms and continues her work to make specialty pansy seed more accessible.Brenna's research on pansies has taken her to Italy to discover seeds and Japan to collaborate with a horticulturist developing pansies. She has published a book Pansies- How to Grow, Reimagine and Create Beauty with Pansies and Violas.
Jan. 12, 2027 Del Brummet. Slow Burn: A Propagation Journey by Seed and Spore
Del is the Head Gardener of the Elizabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden where he has spent the past decade helping to develop and care for a diverse collection of plants. He leads tours, teaches classes and works with volunteers and staff. His talk welcomes us th the world of seed and spore propagation. From collection to cleaning, sowing and growing, we will have an in-depth journey of propagation.
