Recology Cleanscapes temporarily suspends garbage/recycling service in Shoreline

Monday, February 6, 2017

Recology Cleanscapes provides garbage, recycling and composting/food scraps collection service to the residents of Shoreline. As of February 6, 2017 service has been temporarily suspended in these cities due to snow and poor road conditions. Recology Cleanscapes will resume collection as soon as it is safe to do so.

Residents should place all carts (garbage, recycling, yard waste/composting/food scraps) in the usual collection location by 7:00am each day this week, including Saturday, until they are collected. Customers should consider their service delayed by one day, with Friday customers being collected on Saturday.

If weather prevents Recology Cleanscapes from collecting your materials by that time, set your carts out for your next scheduled collection and double the amount of material will be collected at no extra cost. Current service updates are available on our website. Customers are encouraged to check this site for the most up to date information.

Given that the carts hold a fixed amount you can't "double the amount collected" at no cost.

Get a grip - set out a big bag with your garbage - empty dog food bad, black plastic, whatever. I for one am happy the trucks stayed off the road during dangerous conditions.
