Community Breakfast honors Shorecrest teachers and alumnus and raises funds for Third Place Commons

Third Place Commons held its annual fundraising breakfast for a full house on Thursday, February 16 in Lake Forest Park Town Center.

The keynote speaker was Shorecrest grad, professional musician, Ian McFeron, who gave an inspiring speech on how he started his musical career as a student in the Shoreline School District.


Friends of The Community Awards were presented to Vince Caruso, Chair, Music Department of Shorecrest High and Laura King, Chair, Art Department of Shorecrest High.


Breakfast Committee Chair Norman Lieberman introduced Shorecrest principal Lisa Gonzalez (left) and presented awards to Vince Caruso and Laura King.

            
Members of the Rotary Interact Club were the breakfast servers.

Amy Whittenburg, Director of Third Place Commons, gave the opening remarks. Adina Gilett was the M.C. Board member Chuck Paulsen introduced special guests.


Ross Henderson conducted a lively auction of goods and services donated by community businesses.

The morning concluded with the "Ask" as attendees made their donations to help keep Third Place Commons providing over 900 entertainment and activities for the community every year.
