Shoreline fire crews at 3 alarm fire in Lynnwood Wednesday

At least three Shoreline Fire crews were at the structure fire in Lynnwood on Wednesday evening. A 294 unit senior apartment complex under construction was burnt to the ground in a spectacular fire that started around 9:30pm at 19815 Scriber Lake Road.

Two fire fighters from other departments were injured and tenants were evacuated from two nearby buildings. 36 units are uninhabitable.

The fire was under control by 1am but crews were on hand the next day, spraying water on the hot spots.

The cause is under investigation.
