Open for business
Councilmember Chris Eggen
at Grinders Hot Sands

Despite the current road construction on Aurora, Shoreline City Councilmember Chris Eggen is happy to report that Grinders is open for business.

Grinders is famous for their menu of mouth-watering hot sandwiches, and after trying one it’s no surprise that they’ve earned a 4.5 star rating on Yelp.

Eggen’s states “Grinders has an outstanding salad, soup and sandwich menu. My favorite is the Dipper (French Dip), which is big enough for two."

Grinders also features live music most weekends from 8:00pm to 10:30pm from the best local bands in town, making it a perfect location for a fun night out this summer.

Come out on Saturday, September 6th to see the innovative group, The Daily Flash

Grinders is located at 19811 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline 98133. Feel free to stop by, or call 206-542-0627 to make a reservation. Check out Grinders' Menu here.

What is really needed is better signage from Shoreline to show that Grinders, as well as the other businesses on Aurora, are actually open, as well as better markings for the entrances. Currently, between poor signage and heavy equipment, it's hard to tell how to get in at all. I hope that the city will take a page from Seattle's construction handbook and get in some large signs and banners for the businesses.

And Grinders needs a more visible "Open" sign. From the street you can't tell if they are open or not. The reflection from their windows makes it difficult to see if their lights are on also. I think I have thought they were closed many times because I thought the lights were off and I couldn't see the open sign that they place low in a window.

I don't understand how the construction confuses so may people! Get a grip and figure it out or places like Grinders will disappear!

And now we hear that Shoreline wants to eliminate any access to Grinders from the south? Do they WANT Grinders to fail? A large percentage of the customer base is coming from Seattle. This is just crazy.

Newsflash! U-turns will be allowed at 200th. Coming from Seattle just get into the left turn lane and when the light turns green crank your steering wheel all the way to the left. This is called a U- turn. Now proceed to Grinders for a tasty Dipper and some kickin' blues!
