The third time was not a charm for Olympic College on Saturday in their own gym, as SCC and OC played for the third time this season, with SCC making a clean sweep of the three games with a convincing 113-83 win. SCC scored 113, 116 and 113 again in the three games vs Olympic.

The Dolphins raced out to a 56-30 halftime lead and never looked back.

Shoreline had a balanced attack with Avery Scharer leading the way with 14 points and 11 assists. Joe Bodman had 13 rebounds to go with his 10 points. The trio of Earlie Dixon, Evin Jones and Nashon George all scored 13 points, while Will Acromite added 12 and Troy Fiawoo scored 10.

SCC outscored OC 30 to 9 from the three point line, 59 to 33 from the bench and 25 to 10 in free throws.

Shoreline is now 13-8 overall, matching the number of wins for last season with 6 games to go and SCC is on a 4 game winning streak and 5 wins out of the last 6 games. SCC is 7-3 in the region (1 more region win already than last season) and in 4th place a game ahead of North Seattle Community College who is in fifth place. The Dolphins are a 1/2 game out of third place, 1 game out of second place and 2 games out of first place. The top four teams in the region go to the NWAACC Basketball Championship in March.

SCC hosts North Seattle on Wednesday in a "Big" game for the Dolphins as with a win the Dolphins push their hold on the final play-off spot to 2 games with 5 games left in the season. Wednesday is "Homecoming" for Shoreline Community College.

North Seattle is 11-9 on the season and 6-4 in the region. NSCC defeated SCC on January 11th 111 to 99 in the North Seattle gym. Game time is 7:30 PM on Wednesday in the SCC Gym, following the Lady Dolphins game at 5:30 PM.
