SCC shows documentary film "Food, Inc." October 11 at 12:30pm

Join students, faculty and staff at the showing of the documentary, “Food, Inc.” at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Campus Theater at Shoreline Community College.

The film provides a critical look at the industrialized nature of our country’s food supply and explores the relationship between how food is produced and human health, workers’ rights, animal welfare and other issues. While revealing many concerns about our food system, “Food, Inc.” also reminds us that we each have the ability to bring change to the system through our food choices. A discussion will follow.

Shoreline Community College is located at 16101 Greenwood Avenue North, just west of Aurora Avenue. The theater is on the northwest part of campus. Parking and parking pay stations are nearby.
