Rick Steves will headline in a fundraiser for the Compass Housing Alliance in a lecture called "Travel as a Political Act," Thursday, October 28, 6:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church,6215 196th St SW, Lynnwood 98036.  $35 ticket price includes wine, hors d'oeuvres and the lecture.  Purchase tickets online.

Compass has a Veterans' Center in Shoreline on N 200th, across from Costco,

Shoreline Veterans Program
  • Housing for up to two years for 25 homeless veterans (21 men, 4 women)
  • Case management and referrals
  • Computer and training classes
