Kenmore Restaurant Fire Under Investigation

KENMORE ‐ On Thursday, October 21st, the Northshore Fire Department responded to a report of a fire and explosion at Mia Roma, a restaurant located in the 7600 block of NE Bothell Way.

Firefighters arrived at 12:06 a.m., and observed flames climbing up the wall to the roof at the back of the building. The fire was rapidly extinguished and confined to the building’s exterior.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported. Damage to the structure is estimated at $20,000.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the King County Fire Investigations Unit.

The restaurant has been at this location for over 30 years and is a popular place for group events.
