SCC Women’s Soccer Team Ties One, Loses One

The fifth ranked Lady Dolphin Women’s Soccer Team was defeated by topped ranked Walla Walla Community College on Friday after at the SCC Soccer Field by the score of 4-1. Walla Walls was dominate in the first half, as the WWCC squad pushed to a 3-0 score after 45 minutes. SCC battled back in the second half, but could only muster one goal as the Lady Warriors maintained their 3 goal lead with a goal of their own.

On Saturday, SCC scored a late goal in the 82 second minute to tie Treasure Valley Community College from Oregon. New comer Meaghan Slighter scored to save the tie for the Lady Dolphins. Slighter joined the team on Thursday after transferring from Evergreen College.

Shoreline is 2-2-1 on the season and 0-2-1 in the Northern Region. SCC returns to the pitch on Wednesday, on the road at Yakima Valley Community College at 2:00 pm.
