Kamiak comes from behind to beat Shorewood 2-1 in girls soccer

Shorewood took an early lead at 4' in a rain-drenched game on Saturday, September 18 at the Shoreline Stadium when Shorewood Mackcenzie Hanley (#3) crossed from the right and senior midfielder Lisa Santroch (#2) finished the play after Kamiak senior GK Tana Foster (#1) was caught out of keeper's box after her attempt to subdue the initial cross.  

Shorewood Junior forward Kelsey Johnson (#20) suffered an injury severe enough to be driven away in an electric cart.  Shorewood and Kamiak traded attacks for the rest of first half without any further result.

Ten minutes into second half, Kamiak senior midfielder Rachel Rinke (#5) scored Lady Knights equalizer from the right as she won the foot race to the ball against Thunderbirds junior GK Karlie Leclair and the ball richocheted over Leclair.  

Kamiak senior midfielder Cassidy Seckman (#6) was in far post making sure the ball does indeed roll into goal.

At the 55' mark, Kamiak freshman defender Maddie Seckman (#14) gained enough separation from a Shorewood defender and fired a from long distance for the game winner.

Junior Karlie Leclair and senior Kelsey Jang were in goal for Shorewood (3-2 overall.)  

Senior Tana Foster (#1) was in goal for first half for Kamiak (4-0, 1 tie overall) while sophomore Emma Makela (#0) earned a clean sheet in second half.
