On Thursday morning, May 6, the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center held its Annual Community Fundraising Breakfast. The Senior Center Volunteers, Board and Staff wish to thank members of the community who came forward to express their support of the senior center. Lynn and Dave Cheeney started the morning off with their musical duo song and music, ending with Lynn's rendition of the BINGO song tying it in with the theme for the morning: An introduction of the Center's new Karaoke/Bingo nights as well as a glimpse into this special gathering place. Anderson House, once again, provided a wonderful, full breakfast. Mayor Keith McGlashan, Volunteer Liz Rosenthal, Facilitator Dee Pinkerton, Exercise student Merrily Tipple, and the daughter-in-law of one of the center's participants, Wendy Mulhern, gave short, heart warming stories on how the center has made a difference in their lives. Additionally, all breakfast goers were given the opportunity to try out a BINGO game....great fun for everyone! It is not every day you get the chance to play BINGO at 7:45 in the morning.
