Two Shorewood players to compete in state tennis tournament

Shorewood Senior Cameron McDowell and sophomore Jack Bong will be competing in the WIAA state tennis tournament May 29th and 30th at Kamiakin high school in Kennewick, Washington.

Last Fall McDowell and Bong won the WesCo South League and District 1 doubles championship to qualify as  one of four number 1 seeds across the state for the tournament.

This will be senior co- captain McDowell’s third straight state tennis tournament as he wraps up his high school tennis career.

Their first match is Friday the 29th at 8:30am versus a team from District 3 and Central Kitsap high school.

Alternates to State

Also finishing the year as state alternates and 5th in District 1 doubles were junior Kyle Berquist and senior Scott Park.
