Freeway blocked from Shoreline to Northgate Monday morning

Traffic camera on the pedestrian bridge at 195th

All but HOV lane were blocked southbound I-5 at Northgate during the rainy Monday morning commute.

Multiple collisions, including a jack-knifed semi, a broken barrier and a diesel spill, had all but the HOV lane of southbound I-5 at Northgate way and the ramp from Northgate to southbound I-5 blocked.

Still a lot of moisture in the air as you go farther south
NE 175th

The backup at 7:30am was 10 miles and growing quickly. Drivers from Sno County were heeding traffic reports to avoid the area and I-405 was just as blocked.

Normal arterial routes through Shoreline were equally jammed - specifically 15th NE. Neighborhood streets worked for a few blocks but drivers eventually had to gain access to an arterial.

Commute times were more than doubled.

And as someone who saw the flood ot speeding traffic on 8th NE southbound from 185th - knock it off you nitwits! You're going to be late regardless of how fast you drive: blazing through stop signs and driving 40 in a 25 is nasty.
