Lake Forest Park K9 Hector makes a big bust

Friday, April 5, 2013

Last week the Lake Forest Park police responded to a citizen report of a suspicious vehicle in the 18300 block of 28th Ave NE. A Lake Forest Park officer located the vehicle with two occupants. Subsequently, officers believed illegal drug activity was involved and deployed the City’s drug-detecting dog, Hector. Hector gave a positive responsive for illicit drugs. The occupants refused to allow officers to search the vehicle and a search warrant was obtained.

In the search of the vehicle, officers located suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia, vehicle prowl and burglary tools, 100+ vehicle and residential keys, along with various pieces of jewelry. Charges are pending further investigation.

Police Chief Sutton requests Lake Forest Park citizens continue to be vigilant when observing suspicious activity in the City. Call 911 immediately when you observe suspicious activity or suspect illegal activity.
