Fire at Bothell Fred Meyer August 4, 2026

At 1:43pm on Tuesday August 4, 2026, Bothell Fire crews were dispatched to Fred Meyer off the Bothell-Everett Highway after store patrons reported seeing flames and smoke inside the building.

The building’s fire alarm and sprinkler systems activated as designed, and employees and customers safely evacuated. No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and ventilated the building to remove smoke. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The store is expected to remain closed for an extended amount of time.

Shoreline Fire Department, Eastside Fire & Rescue, Kirkland WA Fire Department, and Seattle Fire Department assisted at the scene.
