The new Parkwood Elementary school is looking gorgeous, with definite curb appeal. It is scheduled to open for this school year on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Contractors are still doing some finishing work inside and landscaping outside, but Shoreline Schools received the certificate of occupancy and will open on time.

The new school is 64,800 square feet with a capacity for 500 students.

The project's architect is DLR Architects and a contractor is Allied Construction. The total estimated project cost is $46,909,000.

During construction, Parkwood was located in the North City Elementary building.

Parkwood is part of a major building upgrade for School Schools, which includes Kellogg, Einstein, Parkwood, and the Pratt Early Learning Center.
