Echo Lake Park - fence vandalized, but ribbon cutting still scheduled

Echo Lake Park will open March 21

Thursday the temporary fencing at Echo Lake Park between the restroom and the beach was vandalized and knocked down. A large portion of the fence is currently laying on the Interurban Trail.

Use caution on the trail, especially if riding a bicycle. Cones and caution tape have been placed near the fence. The City is working to restore the fencing as soon as possible.

Echo Lake Park is still closed for construction.

The ribbon-cutting to celebrate the newly remodeled park will take place on March 21, 2015 at 10am.

The park is located at the head of Echo Lake, 1521 N 200th St, Shoreline 98133.

There was some tweaker at the park this afternoon screaming about how change is coming at the top of his lungs and screaming at the bicycle riders and people walking on the trail. Wouldn't be surprised if he's responsible for the damage. I give it 60 days tops before that park is trashed by the meth-heads.
