Rain City Rotary food drive for Hopelink, Dec 3, 10am-6pm at Thriftway and Central Market

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Rain City Rotary will be running food drives for Hopelink on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10 am to 6 pm, at the Ballinger Village Market Thriftway on Ballinger Way, and at the Shoreline Central Market in the upper level of the Sears Plaza (Aurora Square).

Hopelink is currently having shortages of food to distribute but is experiencing a greater than normal demand for their services.

Hopelink is an non-profit organization which offers an integrated array of programs that enable families in crisis to make progress toward and achieve self-sufficiency. They distribute food through 5 centers in the Puget Sound area. In addition, they help families with housing problems, family development, adult education, transportation, energy assistance, and emergency financial assistance. For more information, visit their website.

Rain City Rotary was founded on the principals of fellowship between members and active service to the community. The mission of Rain City Rotary is to facilitate fellowship between members and families, and to actively serve the community and the world through service that makes a difference to human life. Rain City meets most Thursdays at 6:15pm, at the Pagoda Union Building at the Shoreline Community College. Rain City Rotary is on the web and on Facebook.
