The Shoreline Community College Women's Soccer team defeated Everett Community College on Saturday 2-1 while playing much of the match short-handed.

SCC's McKensie Grafe was red-carded midway through the second half with the game tied 1-1, but 2 minutes later, SCC’s Anastaja Norins-Endres broke through on a counter attack to put SCC up 2-1.

The Lady Dolphins played with only 8 players for almost five minutes late in the second half when two players were put off the field for having nose pins.

But the SCC defense held firm. SCC moved into first place in the NWAACC Northern Region with the win, SCC is 5-3-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the region. Everett falls to 7-3-1 and 5-3-0. SCC plays at Green River CC on Wednesday at 2:00 pm.
