Shorewood boys can take record to .500 in Thursday game at Meadowdale after Tuesday win clinches tournament berth

The Shorewood boys’ basketball team has a chance to finish its regular season with a .500 record when the Thunderbirds play at Meadowdale Thursday.
The T-birds have a 6-7 Wesco 3A record and a 9-10 overall record after a 71-23 home victory over Lynnwood (1-13, Wesco 3A, 2-18 overall) Tuesday.
Shorewood and Meadowdale (8-5, 10-9) play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meadowdale High School. 
Shorewood lost a home game to Meadowdale, 55-52, Jan. 11.

The Thunderbirds’ victory over Lynnwood clinched a berth in the Northwest District 3A tournament.
Tournament play starts Feb. 10 at the home courts of the No. 1, 2 and 3 Wesco 3A teams and the No. 1 Northwest League 3A team.
In the 71-23 victory over Lynnwood, Shorewood led 37-11 at halftime and 58-16 after three quarters. Blake Snell led the Thunderbirds with 17 points; Peter Berquist added 10; and Gage Carroll and Duncan Hendrickson each scored 8.
