The Shoreline Council meeting on Monday April 8, 2019 includes one Action Item and four Study Items:

Action Item: Appointment of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services/Tree Board Members
The terms of three Board members have expired and Betsy Robertson submitted her resignation when she was appointed to the City Council. The Council Subcommittee has reviewed and recommended individuals to the full Council for appointment to the Board. Council is scheduled to make appointments to fill these four Board positions.

Study Item 9a: Discussing Salmon-Safe Certification
Council will discuss the two pre-conditions and twelve conditions required to become a Salmon-Safe certified city.

Study Item 9b: Discussing the 2018 Year-End Financial Report
The 2018 Year-End Financial Report provides a summary of the financial results for all City funds for 2018. This is provided to the Council for information purposes.

Study Item 9c: Discussing Ordinance No. 854 - Amending the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget for Uncompleted 2018 Operating and Capital Projects and Increasing Appropriations in the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget.

Due to delays and other unanticipated issues, some appropriations were not expended in the 2018 Budget. Re-appropriation of a portion of the 2018 ending fund balance is needed for expenditures in the 2019-2020 biennium to reflect this carry-over.

Study Item 9d: Discussing Ordinance No. 855 - Amending the 2019-2020 Biennial Budget (Ordinance Nos. 841, 852 & 854)
Staff is requesting that the 2019-2020 biennial budget be amended to provide funding for several operating programs and capital projects that require additional funding due to unanticipated needs that were unknown in November 2018 at the time the 2019-2020 was adopted.

Full agenda available online. Meetings are held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 17500 Midvale Ave N, Shoreline 98133. Parking in city garage. Meetings are live-streamed and archived here.
