Pete Rose, Lake Forest Park City Administrator, provided the following information to the City Council at Thursday's meeting.

He noted that there were 28 block parties in LFP for Night Out Against Crime.

Year to Date Crime Update
  • Residential Burglaries are down 40%
  • All Thefts are down 10%
  • Narcotics Arrests are up 103%
  • Traffic Stops are up 53%
  • Traffic Tickets are up 82%
  • Neighborhood Patrol are slightly up
  • Foot Patrols are down 21%
  • Collisions are up 29%
Further, he said that citizens are calling 911 to report suspicious activity.

"We want those calls to continue, he said, If you think it is suspicious call 911."

He noted that the city website has resources for citizens to help protect themselves from crime.

As we move into the second half of 2017, the Police Department will continue neighborhood patrols, maintain focus on positive community contact and suspicious activity responses – it is paying off for sure.
Crooks don’t like coming to LFP!
