Shoreline CC baseball drops non-region game to Everett CC 7-6

The Shoreline Community College Baseball Team dropped a 7-6 game to Everett Community College on Wednesday night at Memorial Stadium in Everett, WA.

SCC jumped out in front with a single run in the first inning, but EVCC rallied back for 5 runs in the bottom of the third. SCC then tied the game with 2 runs in the 4th and 5th innings, but EVCC moved back ahead with single runs in the 5th and 6th. SCC closed it to one run in the top of the 9th, but EVCC shut down the rally and won 7-6.

Connor King led the SCC offense with a 3 for 5 night at the plate, Luke Merkel had two hits including a double, Josh Fitch scored two runs and Kainoa Ahsing-Kaahanui had 2 RBIs. SCC out-hit Everett 10-7. 

SCC pitched the game by committee, with 6 pitchers throwing, but Aaron Rose (0-2) picked up the loss. SCC pitching did give up 10 walks in the game. with 8 strikeouts.

Shoreline CC is now 14-12-1 overall, and Everett moved to 23-6.
