Shoreline resident earns scholarship from WWU

BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University student Mirami Adair McAuliffe, daughter of Jeffery McAuliffe and Kristine Busch of Shoreline, received a $1,000 Fairhaven Alumni Association Leader Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.

The Fairhaven Alumni Association Leader Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate achievements of or potential for successful leadership that aims to make the world a better place.

McAuliffe, a senior, graduated from Shorewood High School in 2008 and has a Fairhaven Interdisciplinary Concentration. She will graduate spring 2012 and plans to be a community activist.
