Community Information Meeting: Seattle City Light Tree Removal and Trimming
Tuesday, March 15, 2011
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Bethel Lutheran Church
17418 8th Ave NE - in the church basement.

This meeting, which is co-sponsored by the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association and Seattle City Light, is to inform residents of the Ridgecrest Neighborhood, property owners on 8th Ave NE and other interested citizens about the vegetation management measures to be taken this year by Seattle City Light.

The work will include the trimming/pruning and removal of some trees that are under and near the high voltage transmission lines that are along both the east and west sides of 8th Ave NE. To ensure that the required clearance is met, this spring's work will include the removal of several trees that are considered problematic. Work is scheduled to be done on 8th Ave NE, from NE 145th to NE 185th.

Information at this meeting will include details about what all those green ribbons and orange dots mean on tress located in yards along 8th Ave NE, projected trimming and tree removal start date, how tree credits work, selecting the right tree for future planting and what your rights are as a property owner.
