School district has new central kitchen in Hamlin Park

The community was invited to tour the new Shoreline Schools Central Kitchen at the District warehouse in Hamlin Park, NE 160th and 15th NE, on Saturday, January 29.

Kathy Walker, Program Manager for Food Services, showed off the new facilities, which replace the existing ones at Shoreline Center and Shorecrest.

The new food service facility will serve the entire District.

The new kitchen was funded by the bond issue approved by District voters in 2006. It is expected to be operational in February.
