WeatherWatcher: stay at work - storm warning cancelled

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

The national weather service of Seattle has issued a winter weather advisory for the greater Seattle area, including Shoreline and Lake Forest Park.

The advisory is in effect from 4pm today until 4am Wednesday morning.

The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.

Accumulations of 1-3 inches of snow is possible. The snow will begin to change to rain sometime after midnight. There is a slight chance of some freezing rain still during the transition from snow to rain.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.
