Meridian Park Neighborhood celebrates Chinese culture at Tuesday's meeting

Sunday, February 18, 2018

On Tuesday, February 20th at 7pm, Meridian Park Neighborhood Association will hold their monthly meeting at Shoreline City Hall and the evening will highlight Chinese culture.

Attendees will get to learn specifics about the Chinese New Year as well as how innovations in China in the last 30 years have impacted that society.

Meridian Park neighbor Julie Xing will share her experience of living the first half of her life in China and show interesting comparisons of Chinese and American geography, populations, transportation systems and more.

This presentation is appropriate for all ages and could be helpful for students studying these topics in school, or adults learning more about family traditions of families that you have recently joined, or even a new friend you have made! Chinese New Year snacks will be served at this meeting.

MPNA meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month in Room 301, 17500 Midvale Ave N, from 7pm-8:30. All Shoreline residents are welcome to attend. The format includes speaker(s) with the opportunity for questions and discussion with attendees. Light refreshments are served. For more information or questions, email or call Cynthia Knox at 206-218-3302.
