Crime in Shoreline week ending Feb 5

Selected items from the Shoreline Police blotter, week ending February 5, 2018

Trending: this week was full of incidents with alcohol intoxication and mental health issues. The usual run of people with outstanding warrants or without licenses driving vehicles with missing lights and/or making traffic violations like failing to signal.

01-28  Burglary 26xx NW 198th St, stole $100 and a cigar box.
01-28  N 155 and Interlake Ave - intoxicated subject laying in the street.
01-29  17xx N 178th - found bicycle, cart, and ski poles dumped alongside road.
01-29  Mail theft 157xx Ashworth
01-29  Graffiti inside Echo Lake park restroom.
01-30  Driver involved in parking lot collision was arrested on $4000 drug warrant and escape from community custody warrant.
01-30  Unknown subject grabbed a Fred Meyer employee and hugged and kissed her.
01-30  Graffiti on outside of Echo Lake park restroom.
01-31  Found wallet turned in to police.
01-31  Package stolen 18xx NE 172nd - thief driving a white pickup.
01-31  Revolver found in donation pile at Goodwill.
01-31  Subject Trespassed from Aurora Safeway after trying to hug employees and customers. Also created a disturbance at Whistle Work Wear.
01-31  Intoxicated subject Trespassed after opening products at Bartells; found to be suicidal and was sent for involuntary commitment.
01-31  Bicycle stolen off the bike rack on the front of a bus.
02-01  Officer investigating a vehicle in Paramount Park after hours discovered that driver had drugs and a custody escape warrant.
02-01  Female taken for detox after found drinking and incapacitated in Fred Meyer restroom.
02-01  Trespassed individual harassing SCC students for cigarettes.
02-01  Resident fell victim to phone scam and gave credit card info to caller to "fix" his computer.
02-01  Individual Trespassed from Trader Joe's for drinking alcohol in the restroom.
02-01  Suspect has called victim five times at her residence, cussing her out for denying his VA claim.
02-01  Tags on residential fence facing Echo Lake park.
02-02  Subject Trespassed for loitering in Shari's restroom for an hour and refusing to leave. Booked into jail on outstanding theft warrant.
02-02  Manager of retirement home reports that daughter of resident has not returned with resident's medications.
02-02  Police were called for verbal disturbance between parent and daughter; one was arrested on unrelated warrants and booked into jail.
02-03  Mentally ill person in Fred Meyer parking lot.
02-03  Male arrested at his Shoreline home after punching former roommate and hitting him with a frying pan.
02-03  Vulnerable adult left her residence at Sunrise Adult Family Home and went to downtown Seattle. Was located in Shoreline, trying to find her way back.
02-04  Unknown male talked his way into home on N 176th claiming falsely that he was from Comcast.
