Four Shoreline children who attend Evergreen School, Ridgecrest Elementary, and St. Luke School are appearing in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s (PNB) production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.

These talented young artists, who live in Shoreline, are not only performing in this season’s production, they are also dancers who attend Pacific Northwest Ballet School. PNB School, with locations in Seattle and Bellevue, is recognized as one of the top ballet training institutions in the United States.
  • Adrienne Franke, from Ridgecrest Elementary, has been cast as an angel.
  • Sadie LaComa, from Ridgecrest Elementary, has been cast as a party girl.
  • Brittney Kendrick, from St. Luke School, has been cast as an angel.
  • Elspeth Schoonover, from Evergreen School, has been cast as a mouse.

Following auditions in September, 140 PNB School students were cast in the production in roles including angels and toy soldiers.

PNB’s production of the holiday classic features eye-popping colorful sets and costumes designed by author / illustrator Ian Falconer (Olivia the Pig), Tchaikovsky’s timeless score performed live by the mighty PNB Orchestra, and the beloved story of Clara, her Nutcracker prince, and a magical journey to delight audiences both young and old.

PNB’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® runs for 38 performances, November 25 through December 28, 2016, at Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall.

Tickets may be purchased through the PNB Box Office at 206.441.2424, online at, or in person at 301 Mercer St. More information about the production here, and about the PNB School, here.
