Rev. Kelly Dahlman-Oeth has been appointed pastor of Ronald United Methodist Church in Shoreline effective July 1, 2016.

Dahlman-Oeth served a nine year pastorate at Lake Washington United Methodist Church (UMC) in Kirkland and a previous long-term pastorate at Brown’s Point.

His ministry at Lake Washington included an innovative car campership for the homeless.

At his new ministry in Shoreline, he will become involved in the Ronald Commons Project. Construction of the new building behind the church is a little over half way done with move-in scheduled for February.

Ronald Commons is a partnership among Ronald United Methodist Church, Compass Housing Alliance, and Hopelink. It includes sixty affordable apartments owned and operated by Compass Housing Alliance; an integrated service center with support programs including a food bank owned and operated by Hopelink; and a remodel of Ronald United Methodist Church.

The remodel of the church was completed in April. According to Rev. Rich Lang, Seattle District Superintendent of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church, Pastor Kelly will bring deep competence in leadership to the next phase of the Ronald Commons Project as well as gifts of pastoral care and preaching.

The congregation looks forward to welcoming Pastor Kelly Dahlman-Oeth on July 3rd, the first Sunday in July.

Ronald UMC’s outgoing pastor, Rev. Paula McCutcheon was instrumental in the visioning, planning, and bringing to fruition Phase I of Ronald Commons.
