Shoreline Community College softball goes 1-2 at Yakima Valley round robin

The Lady Dolphin Softball Team won one game and lost two on Saturday at the Yakima Valley Community College Round-Robin. SCC opened the 3 game event with a 7-3 loss to host Yakima Valley and then dropped a high scoring affair with the Community Colleges of Spokane, 9-7, before defeating Pierce College 8-5.

Against Yakima, Nicole Reyling, Sophie Overlock-Pauley and Syrina Bailey had 2 hits each. In the game against Spokane, Vallen Brewer and Catelyn Ward had two hits and Jarryn Vannatta hit two doubles and Nicole Reyling homered for the Dolphins.

In the victory against Pierce College, Alia Kelly recorded 5 strikeouts from the mound and collected 2 singles while Sophie Overlock-Pauley had two hits as well and Vallen Brewer and Nicole Reyling had doubles.

SCC's record is now 3-4-2 on the season. SCC travels to Vancouver, WA to play in the South Region Inter-Regional Tournament this Saturday and Sunday, where they will face on Saturday, Centralia College and Mt. Hood Community College and on Sunday, Lower Columbia College and Chemeketa Community College.

Nicole Reyling had four hits on Saturday, to include a double and homerun.
