Shorewood earns spot in District baseball finals and regional round of State tournament with Tuesday victory over Mountlake Terrace

The Shorewood baseball team earned a place in the Northwest District 3A tournament finals and an automatic berth in the regional round of State tournament play with an 8-1 home victory over Mountlake Terrace in the District semifinals Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds will play Meadowdale for the District championship at 4 p.m. Saturday at Everett Member Stadium.

Both teams advance to regional play along with the winner of the game for third place, a game to be played just before the championship game.
