Shorecrest boys top Shorewood, 55-52, with last-second three-pointer, play Kamiak Saturday

The Shorecrest boys’ basketball team broke a tie with Shorewood in the last second Thursday night for a 55-52 victory.
 
Keith Shattuck of Shorecrest knocked down his fifth 3-point goal of the game at the closing buzzer to win what had been a see-saw game against the cross-town-rival Thunderbirds.
 
Shattuck finished with 19 points. Emmanuel Chibuogwu Jr. scored 16 points, and Ryan Canfield added 11.
 
Josh Hawkinson led Shorewood with 17 points. Semir Cadiric scored 11,and Peter Berquist had 10.
Shorecrest takes a 4-3 overall record (2-1 Wesco 3A) into a 7:30 p.m. Saturday non-league home game against Kamiak of the Wesco 4A South.
 
Shorewood (1-2 Wesco 3A, 3-3 overall) plays a Wesco 3A game Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Everett.
Shorecrest plays host to Meadowdale in a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Wesco 3A game.
