The Lake Forest Park City Council has placed a six month moratorium on removing trees in the city.

No one may remove a tree in Lake Forest Park unless they meet strict criteria.

The purpose is to protect the tree canopy while the Council works on updating the City’s tree regulations.

Hopefully, this includes developers, for they usually get to take down every tree on the lot.

Wish this had gone into effect before my nature-hating new neighbors took out five huge and beautiful conifers! Of the 5, one was ailing, the other 4 they removed because they were "messy"!! If you don't like trees, why move to Lake FOREST Park?

How can this 'moratorium' be enacted in the city of Shoreline? I am constqntly amazed by the seemingly haphazard cutting of treess in this city, in my neighborhood.
