A week ago, Shorewood Boys & Girls XC Wesco South League Champions!

This past Saturday, October 31, 2026 Shorewood Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams qualified for State!

It was a beautiful Halloween day in Arlington, our XC athletes took care of business, and Shorewood will be represented well at the State Championships in Pasco this upcoming weekend!

This is 4 years in a row that the Boys and Girls teams have qualified for the State meet in the same year.

We also qualified for the first time athletes in the Unified Division. Congrats to Eli Graves for winning his 1st individual NW District 1 Championship title winning with a time of 15:03.8, a new meet record.

The Shorewood Boys placed 6 runners in the Top 28 and as you may be able to put together, with those outstanding efforts the Boys team secured the NW District 1 Regional Title, a 5-peat making them back to back to back to back to back Regional Champions, as they say in sports "One for the thumb" and returning to the State meet!

The Girls team placed 4th as a team, placing 3 in the Top 15 to make their return to the State meet for back to back to back to back years. Olivia Decker placed 2nd, even after a small fall during the race.

The Top 28 individuals and Top 4 teams qualified for the State meet. NW District 1 (Regionals) is comprised of 16 3A schools from Wesco North, Wesco South, and Northwest Leagues.
