The home in the Richmond Beach fire on Thursday is a complete loss.

Shoreline Fire responded to a residential fire in the 1800 block of 201st St NW in Richmond Beach, just after 8pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

When Shoreline Fire arrived, the structure was engulfed in flames. There were explosions and downed power lines. Because of the dangerous situation, the fire was treated defensively. It was kept contained and prevented from spreading to nearby homes, while being fought from outside the structure.

There were some injuries. One of the residents had minor burns and refused treatment. A few of the firefighters were injured and are recuperating at home.

This fire started in a bedroom. The cause is unknown at this time.
