The Shorewood Thunderbirds girls tennis team finished their final week of matches by losing 1-6 to Edmonds-Woodway and beating Lynnwood 7-0.

T-Bird Senior Katie Taylor won her last two matches on her home courts. Taylor teamed with Emily McDowell to defeat their Edmonds Woodway opponents and she also won her number 1 singles match versus Lynnwood.

Shorewood Senior Captain Michelle Yang also won her last match in doubles with partner Nicole Nelson versus Lynnwood.

The T-Birds finished with a winning record in WesCo South 6-3 and 8-6 overall.

Shorewood will start qualifying tournaments next week at Jackson high school on Tuesday May 8th at 1pm. Entries in singles for Shorewood will be Shay Ryder and Tess Galley in singles. Doubles entries Maddie Bong and Bretta Peterson, Emily McDowell and Brynn Morrison.
