Shoreline resident wins silver medal in National Senior Games 5k road race

Shoreline resident Linda Burt
won a silver medal at the Senior Games
National Senior Games were held in Birmingham, Alabama from June 2-15, 2017.

The National Senior Games are the largest multisport event in the world for athletes 50 and over.

Athletes must qualify by placement or performance standards in a qualifying event. More than 10,000 athletes competed in 800+ events in 19 sports this year.

Washington had 77 competitors who brought home 19 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 9 bronze.
