Shorecrest, Shorewood baseball, softball teams meet Saturday

The Shorecrest and Shorewood baseball and softball teams meet in four games Saturday at Shorecrest High School.

Junior varsity softball teams from the two schools play at 10:30 a.m., followed by the junior varsity baseball game at noon, the varsity softball game at 2:30 p.m. and the varsity baseball game at 5 p.m.

The Shorewood varsity baseball team has a 5-1 Wesco South record, (6-2 overall). Shorecrest is 0-9 (2-9). The Shorewood junior varsity is 5-1 (6-2). The Shorecrest JVs are 2-7 (4-7).

The Shorewood varsity softball team has a 0-6, 0-7 record. Shorecrest is 0-6, 0-8. The Shorewood junior varsity is 2-2. The Shorecrest JVs are 0-4.

The event is also "Pink Day" - a fundraiser for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, with donations accepted all day long and a bake sale with proceeds going to the fundraiser.
