“Teddy Bear Patrol:” Bartell Drugs collects “bear hugs” for children, April 5 through May 2

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

Bartell Drugs is helping to give “bear hugs” to children in stressful or traumatic situations as the Puget Sound area drugstore chain teams up again with Warm 106.9 FM in the annual “Teddy Bear Patrol” campaign, April 5 through May 2.

Celebrating its 125th anniversary, Bartell Drugs’ 60 stores in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties are designated locations for teddy bear donations. Purchase an official “Bartell Bear” for $8.00 and Bartells will donate a second bear to the campaign.

Over 15,000 bears have been collected at Bartell Drugs locations over the past few years for this tremendous cause. The annual drive puts teddy bears in the hands of community police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams so they may give bears to children involved in challenging situations.

Bartell Drugs in Shoreline is located at Gateway Plaza at N 185th and Aurora. Other nearby locations are in Mountlake Terrace on 44th, Westgate in Edmonds, and NE 125th in Lake City.

Family-owned since 1890, Seattle-based Bartell Drugs is proud to celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2015. The company operates 63 locations in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties and is the nation's oldest family-owned drugstore chain. For more information on Bartell Drugs visit
