Richmond Little League "try-it' on Saturday

Thursday, February 19, 2015

Spring softball is starting next month!

Richmond Little League is excited for the upcoming softball season so we are inviting all players and interested girls to attend a fun softball event we are calling "try it" rather than "try out."

All girls who are interested in trying the game of softball are welcome to come and be part of the fun. Tell your friends and schoolmates that this is open to all and it's free.We also want all registered girls to attend so we can assign them the appropriate team.

Please meet us this Saturday from 2pm to 3:30pm at Meridian Park Elementary's utility field for some fun softball games. We look forward to seeing you then. Email for more information

Great idea to "try it" instead of to "try out"! The former suggests having fun, the latter suggests the angst of being cut, something that is carried throughout some lives, and we often see those kids becoming the parents who are yelling vociferously at their kids and their kids' coaches. Kudos to Richmond Little League - may their spirit spread to adults as well who sometimes forget that "it's only a game"!
