Six Dolphin soccer players have been named to the North All-Region Team.

Kamal Gulaliyev, Kyle Lewis, and Konstantin Reutov were named from the men’s team while Mackenzie Bolton, Caty Miller, and Chelsea Foster were chosen from the women’s team.

According to the NWAC, “the All-Region team is comprised of players who were not selected to the NWAC All-Star teams and were nominated by their coaches for contributions made during the season, both on and off the field.”

Head coach Aaron Howe explains why he nominated each of the awardees:

MacKenzie Bolton, So., D/MF | “MacKenzie is an incredible athlete and person. She has great technique; her feet, shots, and defense all give her the ability to play at the next level. Furthermore, her skills are only matched by her character.”

Chelsea Foster, Fr., MF/D | “Chelsea has superb technical skills. She’s strong, athletic and the sky’s the limit for her. She was a co-captain this season for us. She’s a great player and a phenomenal person.”

Caty Miller, Fr., MF | “Caty has a fantastic season. She has outstanding technique and can play any position she trains for. She works her tail off and always asks for tips on how to get better. Caty has a great attitude and is one of the most internally motivated players I’ve coached.”

Kamal Gulaliyev, Fr., GK | “Kamal is a great keeper with fabulous technique. He excels in stopping shots. He works hard. I’m very please with his development as a player. The sky’s the limit for Kamal.”

Kyle Lewis, Fr., D | “Kyle is a great kid and a great player. He has a high level of integrity and works his tail off. I mean it, he has a very high work rate and has learned a lot of this season.”

Konstantin Reutov, Fr., MF | “Konstantin is a phenomenal center-back and could really play anywhere on the field. He always has a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He’s a great kid with an outstanding character.”
