Shorewood tennis has first loss in WesCo South 3A

Shorewood's top three singles, Sasha Gaeth, Emily Wright and Bretta Petersen, won their matches but the T-Birds couldn't come up with another win to defeat Glacier Peak.

Gaeth won her tenth match without a loss so far for the season at number 1 singles. Wright and Petersen also remained undefeated in singles, winning their eleventh straight matches. 

Glacier Peak won the match 4-3, giving the Thunderbirds their first loss in WesCo South 3A. They were tied with the Grizzlies for first place. Shorewood's record in league is 6-1 and 9-2 overall.

The T-Birds were missing their complete singles line up. Senior co-captain Ellie Allen-Hatch, undefeated at number 2 singles, was at the National DECA competition in New York.

Shorewood will play Glacier Peak again April 29th and try to even their match series. Their next match they travel to Edmonds-Woodway April 27th with matches starting at 3:30pm.
