Stabbing at Shoreline birthday party

Sunday, December 9, 2012

According to King County police, just before 1230 this Sunday morning deputies responded to report of a stabbing in the 15500 block of Dayton Ave N.

When deputies arrived there were numerous people at the house for a reported birthday party. Deputies found a 22 year old Renton man inside the house with a stab wound to the abdomen and learned that a 20 year old Seattle man had also been stabbed and transported to Harborview in a car by friends. Residents said some people that were at the party had not been invited.

Both victims were in surgery last night and there is no updated info on their conditions. No arrests have been made, pending investigation.

This was all very chaotic and uncalled for. These "gang-bangers" were not invited by any means to these much loved people's house/ birthday party, and no body, that i'm aware of, knew them personally. It seemed to have all started because of a color someone was wearing.

the kids who did the stabbing were high school friends with two of the people who were living at the house

One is in critical condition and another is recovering. They are both out of surgery and awake. The one in critical condition is awake but not responsive.

I've lived in Shoreline since 1953 and I barely recognize the place. We are turning into Seattle...but I barely recognize that place either.

Be nice to everyone but never answer your door without your 44 mag in hand.
If you don't know them, don't let them in your house.

Actually, Shoreline is getting way better. When I was in high school in the early 80s, Shoreline was known for the place to get drugs and hookers. Not so much anymore. I think we are seeing a different kind of reporting.
